Europe has a lot to offer for family holidays, from beaches to mountains and amazing cities, there is no better place to enjoy a family holiday. Here are our best family destinations in Europe.

Italy

Italy will always be one of our favourite countries to visit as a family. The Italians are some of the most friendly and inviting people in the world, even with a language barrier. Children are valued highly in Italy and there is a real focus on family time. Plus with all the great food on offer its rare to find something your children will not eat here!

Ireland

Ireland is a wonderful place to explore as a family. Here you can explore everything from deserted lochs, windswept mountains, green countryside and stunning coastlines. The Irish are incredibly welcoming and will always get you to join in on the craic. 

Finland

Childhood is all about magic, and Finland certainly has that. With plenty of activities such as racing through the countryside on a husky sled to feeding reindeer, a trip here is sure to be a memorable one. From mid-august until the beginning of April there is also a chance you may see the Northern Lights. 

Switzerland

If you love nature and outdoor activities Switzerland is the place for your family! From hiking, renting a boat or riding the alpine roller-coaster you are sure to find something you can all enjoy. In winter you can of course go skiing, sledding and tobogganing. Switzerland has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, well worth adding to your holiday list if you haven't yet visited. 

France

France is a great place to go with the family, especially the Dordogne region, in the summer they host regular family fetes with great food, entertainment and activities for the kids. Paris is also a great place to visit with kids, try macarons from Lauduree, visit the Eiffel Tower and take a trip to Disneyland. 

Wales

Wales is a great place to visit as a family, with plenty of castles, museums and activities to try as a family you will find plenty of things to do. Visit the hidden coves and beautiful beaches or the sorbet coloured houses of Tenby. Wales is so accessible and the perfect place to explore as a family.
