North Norfolk is not only known for beautiful beaches and pretty seaside towns. It's actually home to our boutique! We are located in Holt an hours drive from Norwich and around fifteen minutes from the beach.

During the summer months our little town of Holt is bustling with tourists and families looking to explore. We love nothing more than a walk along the beach followed by some good food! Here are our top eateries in North Norfolk.

1. Rocky Bottoms- West Runton

We are regulars at Rocky Bottoms, an old 1800 brick kiln that has been transformed into a seafood restaurant. All the seafood is caught fresh by the owners, the fishcakes and crab salad are our favourites! Really relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, great for adults and kids alike. If you are visiting Norfolk and are a fan of seafood we thoroughly recommend you give them a try! Booking is advisable as they are always busy.

2.Cookies Crab Shop, Cley

Another seafood restaurant, not far from Holt. Cookies overlooks the marshes at Cley. All the fish here is freshly caught, it looks pretty basic from the outside (and inside really) but the food is very good and is very popular with locals. We recommend the lobster royal salad. It is advisable that you book in advance as they are always busy! They also do not sell alcohol so bring your own beer or wine if you like a little tipple with your seafood.

3. The Moorings, Blakeney

The Moorings is situated in Blakeney not far from the quay, they serve local fish, game (when in season) and lots of vegetarian dishes. It's a great place to stop for lunch if you are doing the coastal walk from Cley to Blakeney.

4. Morston Hall, Morston

If you are celebrating a special occasion or just feel like something fancy Morston Hall is a great place to visit! They have a seven course tasting menu that changes daily, and they also do an excellent afternoon tea.

5. The Hoste, Burnham Market

Always a winner with locals and Londoners, The Hoste is ideal after a long walk on the beach or a potter around the boutiques. The food is delicious, with a menu everyone can enjoy. They have expanded over the years and now have luxury accommodation, a spa and a gym. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

6. The Victoria, Holkham

Part of the Holkham Hall Estate and just a few steps from the beautiful beach at Holkham Bay, the Victoria is a popular spot for lunch and dinner. The food is all local, fresh and seasonal and they have an extensive children's menu.

 7.  French's Fish and Chips, Wells-Next-The-Sea

French's award winning fish & chips have been in wells since 1923. Get them wrapped up and take them down to the beach or sit on the quay and watch the boats come in! Nothing better.

8. Byfords Cafe, Holt

An upmarket deli focusing on homemade food, Byfords is great for all the family, have a wander around the shops in Holt (don't forget to come and see us) and stop for a spot of lunch for a breather. Byfords also do excellent cakes to takeaway-our favourite is the chocolate brownie.

9. White Horse, Brancaster Staithe

A firm favourite with a lovely conservatory restaurant, sun deck terrace and adjoining dining area with spectacular sea views over Brancaster and Scolt head Island. Great seafood and pub classics. They also hold a very popular Oyster festival in August.

10.  Socius, Burnham Market

Giving The Hoste a run for its money, Socius has an informal but upmarket feel. The food is very tasty and can be enjoyed as tapas or in courses, they also have a children's menu so its an ideal spot for a nice family meal.
