Destination Inspiration- Turkish Riviera

The Turkish Riviera, also known as the turquoise coast is an area of southwest Turkey, the most stunning part of Turkey's Mediterranean and Aegean coasts with its perfect sun, clean beaches, ultra luxury resorts, charming nature, ancient history, good entertainment and nightlife.

The best time to visit is between April and October where temperatures can reach up to 34 degrees.

Antalya, the main city of this region is the largest city on the Mediterranean coast with its beautiful harbour. Antalya has a backdrop of stunning mountain scenery, and the city is set high on cliffs, with many of its grandest hotels overlooking the sea on the outskirts of the town. Here you can also experience the old town and several archaeological sites.

Patara is one of the Mediterranean's longest beaches at 18km in length, and under protection by the Turkish government for nesting sea turtles. Patara is a great place for families and couples wanting to experience a mix of relaxing beach days, nature and history.

Suluada is a lonely island on the southern coast of Turkey. A trip to the island is a great day trip for the whole family to enjoy. The boat trip to the island starts in the bay of Adrasan. The journey takes you past high cliffs and caves. With a bit of luck you will get to see dolphins and turtles. The island offers three beaches where the numerous tour boats can anchor.

As well as beautiful beaches and history you can expect some stunning local food such as  Köfte, Börek, Baklava, Kayısı Tatlısı - the list of Turkish specialities is long so try something new and have fun!
